I honestly don't know where to start when trying to describe how much my wife and i enjoyed our private tours with Laura from Bordeaux with Elodie!
I bought 2 private tours (Medoc and St Emilion) as a birthday present for my wife's 30th birthday (also secretly a bit for myself), and it far far exceeded my expectations.

I initially contacted Elodie through the email provided on their website and the moment that she responded i knew that this would be a great tour. The response to my email alone showed how dedicated and passionate she was about her job, writing the itineraries so that they could be reviewed and my suggestions could be added if required.

Throughout the 2 days, Laura pitched her chat perfectly to our wine knowledge and both of us really enjoyed the education without a single moment of feeling overwhelmed by it.

The actual wine tastings were tastefully done and in some amazing locations. At one particular winery we went down into a wine cave network cellar where you could see where it had been originally excavated by hand many many years ago. The history of some of the places we visited was truly amazing!

I won't go into details about the vineyards/wineries/chateaus that we visited but i would highly recommend a vertical tasting at Château de Ferrand - it was held in the most beautiful professional tasting room and was incredibly informative.

Both myself and my wife felt so at ease and so comfortable with Laura from the moment we met her, it was like a friend was taking us on a wine tour. The fact that she was born in Bordeaux and that she has grown up surrounded by wine and the wine culture shows in her work. The passion and knowledge she has within her field is truly refreshing.

The scenery is this part of France is beautiful, the wine is so so good, it's educational, it's fun and i can honestly say it's been some of the best days out we have ever had. I will be making sure that i visit again some day.... worth every penny.

After Elodie cordially and efficiently arranged our tour, Laura greeted us and immediately felt like part of the family. On the drive to Saint-Émilion, she provided an interesting and informative introduction to the city of Bordeaux, the region and the wine in exemplary English.

The 2 vineyards that we visited demonstrated different approaches to winemaking and the tasting at the wine shop provided the opportunity to sample a range of wines. We appreciated the care involved with the choices. We enjoyed the experiences so much that we fell well behind schedule. Nonetheless, Laura made a quick stop to pick up some cookies that we enjoyed at our first stop.

I highly recommend the tour for the quality of the experiences with wine, people and diversity. It was the highlight of our trip to Bordeaux!

My wife and I visited Bordeaux to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary; and, after careful research, I emailed Elodie inquiring about a full day in Medoc. After a few very pleasant exchanges, we set an agenda which included two 4th growths and one smaller producer. I did challenge the selection of Chateau Hourtin Ducasse, but Elodie assured me that we would very much enjoy the experience. She was correct!!! Michel Marengo, the owner, was a terrific host! Very engaging, and his juice and gin is delicious. Our visits to Talbot and Prieure Lichine were wonderful as well, and our lunch at Le Saint Julien was very tasty. Lastly, our host, Emilie, was wonderful! You could tell that she really cared about making sure that we had a great time! She is very nice, and I highly recommend her as your guide. She is very knowledgeable. C’est magnifique!

Laetitia was the guide for my wife and I and she was absolutely wonderful! She was extremely knowledgeable about the region, the wineries, and the wines! We did two day tours with her, and each morning on the drive out she would brief us on what we were going to see and details about the region and wineries we would visit so we had a good basis when touring with the guides at each winery. She also was our personal photographer so we could enjoy the experience without distraction. I can't recommend her high enough! And Elodie and her company in general. Fabulous three days with Emilie!

Elodie not only listened to our wishes for our time in the Bordeaux region, but she also delivered excellence! I cannot tell you how much that means to us when booking a tour. We spent three fabulous days with the incomparable Emilie, and she made our experience one to remember. She was not only a fabulous, cheerful, energetic and kind host, but she was also extremely knowledgeable about the wines and areas we visited: Medoc, Graves/Sauternes, and St. Emilion/Pomerol. Elodie provided a fabulous itinerary in advance of our trip filled with the history of the region and wineries we visited (that's a first for us). This helped us become familiar with our locales before we even arrived. Our days were spent being treated as VIPs from start to finish, and the lunches arranged were world-class experiences in both the settings and quality of food. From beginning to end, we were extremely happy and were also a bit sad to say goodbye to Emilie. If you are looking to book a tour in the Bordeaux region, look no farther. Bordeaux with Elodie should be your first and last stop on Trip Advisor. There is none better. We will return someday soon we hope, and we will book with Elodie again.

Great day with Laetitia

From the original booking many months before I felt very confident in dealing with Elodie and using her company. The itinerary was set as a full day in Medoc with originally 9 of us but unfortunately 1 person dropped out. This was no problem for Elodie who adjusted the booking and confirmed everything was in place.

8 of us were picked up at 09.30 as promised and greeted by Laetitia (instant connection with Hitchin).

We left Bordeaux and headed to the chateaux's for tours and tastings, with a great lunch in between.

Our favourite was Paloumey, a smaller winery but very personal and some fantastic wines.

It was good to see the larger chateaux's with there glorious grounds. At each the staff were great and the tours informative and fun sampling delicious wines.

Thanks again go to Elodie and especially to Laetitia who had the measure of us and provided us with a great day. Next time Saint Emillion!!!

An incredible four days

My wife and I spent 4 days touring the Bordeaux wine region with Laetitia. We have previously toured wine regions in Spain, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Argentina, Chile, and the US. However, this Bordeaux tour was special, and Laetitia was instrumental in making it so. We now have a much better appreciation of the impact of terroir, thanks to her. She is very knowledgeable on the history of Bordeaux wines and the various classifications, and we used the four lunches we had together to learn as much as we could. The four days included one day on the right bank (primarily St. Emilion), one day on the left bank (Medoc), one day in Graves (primarily whites) and Sauternes (sweet white), and one day visiting smaller wineries Off The Beaten Path. Although not a fan of California merlots, we both thoroughly enjoyed the merlot blends in St. Emilion. We learned that sweet wines, like Sauternes, are often better paired with a spicy meal than a sweet dessert. Highlights were the barrel tasting in Chateau Palmer, the tour of Chateau Biac where the owner and his wife spent two hours showing us their winery, and the wine tasting hosted by Chateau Guadet at a local wine store in St. Emilion. The only disappointment was the tour of Chateau Margaux where the guide was clearly not engaged. After our four days of wine touring, the next day we were in the middle of a historical tour of St. Emilion with another local guide. When she asked what we had done previously, I mentioned our Bordeaux with Elodie tours. Her response was telling: "Elodie is a legend among all guides in this region". I cannot imagine a better choice for a private wine tour than Bordeaux with Elodie.

Awesome tours- A day in Médoc and a day in Saint Emilion and Pomerol

We did a one-day tour of the Medoc and a second day in Saint Emilion and Pomerol. We felt like VIPs at every stop. Our guide, Léa was fun, knowledgeable and very kind. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and she created an excuse for leaving us at lunch while she got some champagne and macarons (from local shop in Saint Emilion with original recipe dating back to 1620) for a toast on the hilltop overlooking Saint Emilion. We had a wonderful lunch in St. Julien. The vineyard tours were great. We learned a lot, enjoyed the tastings and met very nice people who provided personal insight into their methods for winemaking. Elodie has a good rapport with many well-respected winemakers. She was also very helpful prior to our visit and recommended several restaurants. We highly recommend Bordeaux by Elodie.

A Wonderful day in Médoc with Laetitia!

We just had a fabulous day touring Medoc with Laetitia! She was incredibly kind and funny (she helped us with some hilarious texting in French to a friend in the US), and she gave us great advice on the wines, plus what else we should do in the city. One day is not enough

We booked with Elodie at the last moment and were very fortunate to do so. We thought we had booked a three day tour with another company, but there was a glitch. Elodie had a last minute opening and we could not have been more satisfied. We had even requested a tour of a small chateau in the Margaux district and Elodie made the arrangements. Laura, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and answered every question. On day one, we went to the Medoc region, the second day was to the Graves and Sauterne area and the third day was St. Emilion. Every day and every vineyard was unique and educational.....and, the wine tastings were not bad. Thanks Laura for a memorable tour.

My wife and I and our two grown up children and their partners have just returned home from a hugely enjoyable trip to Bordeaux. We booked a wine tour of the Right Bank for all six of us, then a half day food tour and then another full day wine tour of the Left Bank for 3 of us. Our tours were led by Emilie, who was a really lovely lady, who certainly played a big part in our very enjoyable experience. We visited a total of 5 chateaus over the 2 days, all were varied and very interesting. The food tour was a walking tour of the city centre visiting cheese, chocolate and the local speciality “Canales”. "The best in Bordeaux." That is how Elodie was described to me by one of her fellow guides while I shopped around, and this proved to be absolutely true. I have done wine tours all over France and Italy, from the Northern Rhone to Bourgogne, from Tuscany to Barolo.. and hands down, Elodie was my favorite guide based on knowledge, energy, and personality. 
Elodie made a perfectly customized tour for me. She put together two days worth of visits to all organic/biodynamic vineyards, a layer of the industry which for me, is very important. 
She mixed it up between large and small producers, but each that she chose was magical in its own way. Elodie is clearly cherished by the producers, they seem to work extra hard to make the experience special for her clients, which is a testament to Elodie's importance in the wine community in Bordeaux. If you've ever been on a wine tour, you know that your guide's relationship with the vineyard is everything when it comes to making the experience magical. 
When I take a wine tour, the most important thing for me is leaving with an education. As much as I want to like my guide, I'm not usually on a wine tour to find a new friend, I care most about how they deliver information in a clear and digestible way, while keeping me engaged through a long day. But it's impossible not to adore Elodie. She was born in the region, it's in her blood. But she's not just a local... she is world traveled, witty, warm, and loves what she does! Spending two full days with her was like going on a road trip with a long lost friend. A friend who happens to know everything about Bordeaux wine production. 
One last anecdote. Six months after my trip with Elodie, one of the amazing producers we visited in Bordeaux was doing a private tasting in an intimate setting in my home city. I learned about the event too late, and the guest list for the evening was already over capacity. I was dying to get in to the event and to pick up a few bottles, which were at the time, not available outside of Bordeaux. With a quick email to Elodie, she was on the phone, after hours, reaching out to her connections at the vineyard, and with the host who was stateside. Not only did I end up getting a seat at the table, but I was treated almost as the guest of honor. The one person in the room who had actually been on the grounds of the amazing vineyard back in Bordeaux. But most importantly, I was friend of Elodie. This is the kind of professional and person Elodie is. The absolute best!

We had a wonderful private day tour of St Émilion wineries for our family group of 4. Planning and communication beforehand was detailed and attentive, really tailoring the tour to our requirements. My husband and I spent a fabulous day with Laëtitia on the right bank. She was exactly what we were looking for - friendly, very knowledgeable, and willing to answer our 100 questions :) We only had one day to taste so Laëtitia kindly arranged our day to fit in 3 chateaus plus a lovely lunch at Le Tertre in between. She also recommended a great place for dinner on our last night in Bordeaux and called to set our reservation. Last but not least, Laëtitia knew we were off to Barcelona next and offered suggestions for restaurants there as well. Terrific day with Laura

We spent an unbelievably terrific day with Laura from Bordeaux with Elodie. We explored the Medoc wine region. Laura was an incredible expert on Medoc and issues related to wine making. The Bordeaux experience

We did the Medoc (Right Bank) and St. Emillion (Left Bank) tours on separate days. Both were the experiences I wanted. The guides were wonderful and I learned so much more about French wine. I loved the experience. Seeing and tasting the different styles was so interesting. If I had to pick one over the other I would say the Left Bank was more scenic and we had lunch at the Red Terrace, which was just great!

Great way to Experience Bordeaux

We had a tour of Right Bank with Laura and visited two wineries. This was our first time in Bordeaux and we learned so much with Laura. She was extremely knowledgeable, warm and a pleasure to spend the day with.

We had a great time on our 2 days of touring with Laura, she was incredibly knowledgeable, super friendly, attentive, and just a joy to be around - she definitely put effort into ensuring everything went smoothly and to share interesting stories while we were driving.

We spent a day on the right bank and a day on the left bank, my wife, 7 year old son and I. There is no problem bringing a minor on the tour, although we also know we are fortunate that our son is able to handle these kinds of things and keep himself entertained. Laura made sure there was a booster seat for him in the car.

Such a great experience and we were lucky to have found Bordeaux with Elodie and have Laura as our guide. Highly recommended.

From Bordeaux to Arcachon

Laetitia picked us from Bordeaux hotel and heading to Dune of Pilat. For the first time, we visited the highest dune in Europe, a unique landscape with an incredible panoramic view over the ocean, forest and Arcachon Bay. Only few of us managed to walk up there with Laetitia without the staircase which we saw in the pictures!
We also had the oyster tasting & looked around in the town of Arcachon.
Laetita is helpful, informative and friendly. We enjoyed a day with her.
If you are looking for an adventure in Bordeaux, I have no hesitation to recommend you to Elodie and her team.

Fantastic day trip in Saint-Émilion

Laura was our tour guide for the day trip and everything went smoothly as planned. We toured two wineries and had lunch at Logis de la Cadene. A wonderful experience!

I was lucky enough to experience Bordeaux with Elodie this year in January. From the get go I knew I would have the time of my life! Elodie was very reactive and charming and she created a tour of beautiful Saint Emilion for me and my 2 friends (we were traveling through Europe and wanted to see the best of the best only!). Elodie took us to 2 wineries, very different one from the other (a small family owned one and a larger one) it was so interesting and fun! We definitely learned a lot and laughed a lot. "Best of Bordeaux"

My husband and I went on a tour of the Saint-Emilion region with Laura almost 2 years ago and it was so amazing that even 2 years later I felt the need to write this review. It was our first time in Bordeaux, and we knew that we needed to do some wine tastings but didn’t have much else of an idea than that. Thankfully, Elodie and Laura took care of everything, even helped with booking our hotel prior to the trip. We felt like we were given an “inside tour” of the wineries and didn’t feel like just a tourist passing through. The wineries that Laura took us to all treated us like family, sitting down & sipping wine, letting us look around, eager to answer any and all questions. The wine here is the best that I’ve ever had, we even signed up for some quarterly wine shipments which we’re still enjoying today.

Laura was so down to earth and easy to talk to, by the time the day was over we were sad to say goodbye! Besides being a fun companion for the day, Laura was extremely knowledgeable. I expected the wineries to share all their knowledge with us (and they did), but I think we learned the most from Laura. Starting from knowing almost nothing about Bordeaux wines, we left with a much deeper appreciation of the wine and making process, which made the wines that much more enjoyable!

As part of our 2 week Europe trip, this was the highlight, and we already want to plan another trip back soon! Thank you Elodie and Laura!

"Last and the best!"

We enjoyed the last tour of their season with Leticia as our guide. We were blessed with perfect Fall weather for our excursion to the Saint-Emilion area of the wine country. Our itinerary was completely customized for us. We had been to the town previously and therefore spent our tour "Off the beaten path" visiting Chateau De Montagne, Chateau De Siaurac and Chateau De La Riviere. This is a combination of historical sites along with the wine of course. We had a private truly gourmet lunch at Chateau De Siaurac that was extraordinary. Our guide was very knowledgable and attentive throughout. We would highly recommend Elodie's tours for your visit to Bordeaux.

" Excellent day in Sauternes"

We were traveling to Bordeaux, love sauternes wines and requested a full day tour in Sauternes. Our guide Laura, a Bordeaux native who speaks excellent English and has studied oenology and worked for a vineyard, picked us up promptly at our hotel. We visited three wineries, starting with Chateau Les Carmes Haut-Brion specializing in reds which had an especially interesting winery and tasting room designed by Philippe Starck.

We then drove to Sauternes for a delightful prix fixe lunch at a local restaurant. Along the way, Laura explained the topology and geology of the sub-region which creates the conditions to grow the special botrytis-affected grapes that give sauternes its unique flavor profile.

Our afternoon tours and tastings at Chateau d'Yquem and Chateau Guiraud were the highlights of the day. Standing on the hilltop at Chateau d'Yquem and gazing over the vineyards, we could see many of the other chateaux of the top producers of Sauternes. It was the best education on the term "terroir" we could have experienced and really helped us to understand the background to the French appellation system in a new way. 

The entire day was an "aha" moment for a couple of wine lovers. Thanks to Laura and Elodie for providing such a memorable experience.

"Médoc full day tour"

We had the pleasure of touring Medoc with Laëtitia in October and had the absolute best experience! Laëtitia was delightful and her knowledge of the area of of wine in general was impressive. We learned so much and really enjoyed the path she took and all the Château’s we passed on our tour. We had requested to go the Mouton Rothschild but let them decide the rest of the day and they chose the most fabulous lunch spot and to visit a smaller Château Paloumey where we received a tour by the owner and had a very intimate tasting experience. Mouton only does group tours and it was extensive but really fantastic. Seeing the museum and art pieces they have there was unexpected and incredibly special. All in all the day was one of the most memorable of our lives and Laëtitia took the best photos to preserve the day which was an extra special treat. 
We told Laëtitia that we were going to Saint Emilion the next day and exploring on our own and she took it upon herself to set us up with a tour of Guadet that was simply fantastic and very different from Medoc. Our tour guide also took us to their wine shop and gave us one of the best tastings that we have ever experienced and we were able to purchase and ship a bunch of wines home. 
The care that Elodie Tours goes through to make your day perfect is unparalleled. You will learn, see and taste amazing wine. You will not be disappointed!!

“Wine tasting in Saint Emilion”

Best decision on our trip was to book a private day tour of Saint Emilion and Château Guadet. Elodie was so quick to respond and accommodate our needs overnight (this was over Christmas). She even offered a booster seat for my young daughter! Our friendly tour guide was Laura and she picked us up on time from our hotel and drove us over to St Emilion, giving us history and education on the region and the wineries. We toured the chateaux w Bruno who is part of the family who owns the winery. We then walked the historic streets of St Emilion taking breathtaking pictures along the way. Relaxing and comfortable pace! Then we sampled wines at Bruno's shop and ordered a case be sent home for us. Then we had lunch at the AMAZING La Terrasse Rouge...unforgettable. Laura even bought us macarons and we got a souvenir wine opener for me and my mom. Just the best day ever!!! Mercí!!!

“A day to remember!”

Bordeaux with Elodie was definitely the highlight of our trip to Bordeaux! We took a full day wine tour with Laura as our guide. She was very engaging, extremely knowledgeable and it was very obvious that she loves what she does! The wineries were delightful and the tastings were plentiful. The scenery through St. Emilion, Pomerol and St. Christophe-des-Bardes was stunning.

We learned so much about the region and about the wine- more than we ever thought possible. The tour was perfectly planned and worth every penny! Our favourite moments included our visit to Château Guadet and our wine tasting at Le Cellier de Saint Emilion with the proprietor, Bruno. This little boutique is a real treasure and Bruno is so passionate and knowledgeable about wine and showed us that excellent wine comes at all different price points.

“Great day in Bordeaux”

We had a wonderful putting with Elodie - Laura was our guide and she was terrific - a careful driver, a very capable guide, and a wonderful traveling companion.
We spent a wonderful day learning also much about wine making- the grapes, the process, the aging, the bottling. It was so educational and enjoyable - really the highlight of our Bordeaux trip. The lunch was also lovely. The selection of vineyards was really top notch. While it is expensive when factoring in everything, including the extra charges for tastings. “Personalized introduction to the Bordeaux wine culture”

My husband and I just returned from 10 days in Bordeaux during which we enjoyed four day tours with Elodie and her colleague, Laura. My husband arrived two days ahead of me, so he got to spend two days visiting wineries in Graves and the Medoc with Elodie; several days later, Laura escorted us around Pomerol and St. Emilion one day, and to Cognac on the second day. Because I missed out on the Graves/Medoc portion, I can't speak to those details other than to report that it was a trip highlight for my husband.

Both Elodie and Laura speak excellent English and were a pleasure to travel with. They selected ideal itineraries that followed a similar theme: one stop at a family-owned and operated winery, one stop at a posh winery, and an elegant lunch. The contrast between family operations and more corporate operations is dramatic. You could easily reach a facile conclusion that the time-honored traditions in Bordeaux are giving way to Napa-style hospitality, but there is a lot more to the story. After these experiences, I feel that we peeled away one layer of the onion and have much more to learn about the Bordeaux wine industry. We look forward to returning on a future trip and will seek out Elodie and her team to lead us forward.

We recommend them wholeheartedly if you are looking for a private winery tour experience anywhere within the overall Bordeaux area.

“Private tour of Medoc with Laura”

Thank you for the expertise and warmth on the tour! Our all day tour of the left bank wine region in Bordeaux was amazing. We had appointments in three wineries for private tours as well as lunch in a local village. Laura was passionate and knowledgeable about wine, and her hometown wine region. She was very kind and warm and it was a pleasure spending the day with her. The selection of chateaux was well thought out, wth three very different wines as well as production methods. Laura gave us a greater insight into the differences and subtleties of the small part of the region we toured. Overall a great day!! Elodie was very responsive and accommodating in our email communication and support in meeting our needs for timing and location. This is a first class tour company with great connections in this very prestigious arena. The connection Laura has with our tour guides made the day even better because we were warmly received everywhere we visited. “Perfect Bordeaux experience”

We spent 4 days in the region with Laura, one of Elodie's associates. She was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. We spent a day on the right bank, a day in Cognac, a day in Medoc and our final day in the Graves and Sauterne area. we had private tours of three chateaus each day. We learned a great deal about the producers and the wine-making process. Each day, Elodie arranged lunch for us in a different wonderful local restaurant. Due to a number of unforeseen circumstances, we had several last-minute schedule changes on our end, and Elodie did a great job of rearranging our tours to accommodate us. Highly recommended!

“Wonderful wine tour”

Bordeaux with Elodie was recommended to me by a wine merchant in Australia and we were very happy with our experience. Elodie was very prompt and reliable in responding to emails when we were making the initial enquiries and throughout the process. We were a group of 3 and our tour was in the Medoc region.

Our guide was Laura and her English was extremely good, as was her level of knowledge. Laura was also a very good driver and made our day relaxed and very enjoyable as she was good company and presented information in a manner that made it easy to understand. Laura also gave us suggestions and information about other things to do during our stay in Bordeaux.

The chateaux we visited were very interesting and quite different; and the chateaux guides were also very knowledgeable and easy to understand. The restaurant at which we had lunch was delightful and the food was of a very high standard.

Bordeaux with Elodie was an expensive day out for us and we hesitated before deciding to go ahead with a booking, but afterwards we were all glad that we had done it. The personal tour was a luxury that we really enjoyed.

My experience with Elodie's tour company was 5 star all around. (Fast communication, easy booking process, great guide, nice comfortable van for the tour.) We had a group of 4 adults, and we had specific Chateau we wanted to visit. Elodie was super fast with communication and very flexible and patient with our requests. Laetitia was our guide, and she was outstanding. She's a certified wine expert who not only educated us about Bordeaux wine facts but told us interesting back stories about winemakers. “It was a wonderful day that we will NEVER forget!”

We LOVED every minute of our tour with Laura. She is quite amazing and a joy to spend time with. We learned so much from her too!

Each of the 3 wineries that we visited was unique and so interesting - so it's hard to pick a favorite. The combination provided us with a better understanding of the elements that each Chateau must take and evaluate as they produce the best wines that they can. It was so fascinating to see how they took different paths while each resulted in a superior wine. I don't think that they could have chosen 3 better ones for us to visit.

We stopped for lunch in the most adorable little town. The food was delicious and just the type of place that we hoped to eat at.

Elodie and Laura planned a day for us that we will never forget. And on top of that to send us the pictures that Laura took during the day is more than we could have expected.

Another thing to note is that our cruise started the day in downtown Bordeaux but moved to Le Verdon during the day to depart Bordeaux before high tide. Many other tour companies were not willing to pick us up in the morning in Bordeaux and then drop us off at the port in Le Verdon in the evening but this was not an issue at all for Elodie. On top of that the car that Laura used for our tour was a cross between a car and a van with huge windows and easy access. It was comfortable and professional.

We are already planning for another trip in 2 years and we will use Elodie's company again for sure.

There is no need for you to look further - you will love the tours that they personally plan for you.

Want a better way to get an insiders perspective on a region, then a a well traveled local guide such as Elodie is the best way. We had a fantastic day tour of the Pomerol/St. Emilion region of Bordeaux with the delightful, knowledgeable, and enjoyable Elodie herself. What a treat! Elodie took care of all the details of our tour which included very prompt responses to all of our questions during booking. She provided good material to get acquainted with the details of the tour. She picked us up at our hotel (and dropped us off) in a nice and comfortable van and drove us to one of France's most picturesque towns in the wine region of Bordeaux. We visited Chateau Beauregard for a closer look at the wine production process. We were lucky to see some of the harvest take place, as well as the actual wine production, and tasting of course. We had a magnificent lunch at La Terrase Rouge a new restaurant at the premises of La Dominique and continued with an extensive tasting of some of the best wines of the region in the town of St. Emilion. Throughout the tour, the lovely Elodie delighted us with her anectodes and with facts about the region and wine production process that we were not aware of. We look forward to visiting the region again and planning other tours with Elodie. Her attention to details, knowledge of the region, contacts, and her great personality make a tour of the Bordeaux region with Elodie a must.

Laura showed why you have a guide even when you think you know things. Our tour of St Emilion gave access to great wineries and fantastic people we could not have experienced any other way. An ancient winery with new owners and modern methods. A beautiful lunch followed by a guided tour of the village. Access to another unique organic and biodynamic winery with limestone caves going back 100s of years and a marvellously insightful tasting experience from Bruno in his tasting rooms. All this with insight, deep knowledge snd great humour from our guide. An unforgettable day. We now understand a lot more about French wines and how to access them from Australia.

“Went above and beyond to make my wife’s birthday trip amazing!”

I cannot say enough about Elodie. When deciding to take my wife to Bordeaux for her birthday to do some wine tasting, research on Trip Advisor led me to this page. From my very first contact I knew I was working with the right person and company. Over the course of 3 months we probably traded 30 or more emails. Elodie always answered promptly, personally, and always addressed all of my questions head-on.

The wine tour we set up to Saint-Emilion was relatively straightforward, stopping at 2 chateaus with a wine tasting at a store in the village so we could sample many wines from across the whole region (not just from the chateaus we visited). Laetitia picked us up at our hotel and used the drive to Saint-Emilion to give us a great background of the area, the grapes they use and the wine process, some of the wine politics, and lots of history of the chateaus we were going to visit. She was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed our day with her immensely.

What made working with Elodie even more amazing was her work on my behalf that went far beyond the day we were booking with her. She recommended a few hotels, recommended a few restaurants and even took care of setting up special birthday reservations for us at Joel Robuchon’s. Then, she really exceeded all expectations when I asked if she had any ideas on where and how to set up a truffle hunt. It took a couple days but sure enough, a friend of a friend had a truffle farm and Elodie worked as our go-between to set up a wonderful day. Something tells me a ‘truffle experience’ may become a new option for Elodie’s customers soon.

Start to finish the weekend that Elodie help me set up was fantastic. Highly recommended. And, thank you Elodie for helping make my wife’s birthday trip something we will both remember always.

We did the one day St Emilion tour with the lovely Laetitia as our tour guide.
We had three on the tour; my husband, mother in law and myself. We all thoroughly enjoyed the day. It was a relaxed, personal tour where we had plenty of time to stop and enjoy both the wineries and lunch.
We chose to have lunch on the rooftop of a winery- it was delicious and had beautiful views. We also chose the wine tasting in town, which was a great way to compare wines from different appellations, wineries and vintages. Would highly recommend it.
Laetitia was very obliging and well informed. If we are back again, we'd still look at doing another tour with these guys.

My wife and I, being avid wine lovers decided to travel to Bordeaux this October. And since the place is so massive, we did our research and decided on getting a tour guide - Bordeaux with Elodie ! And man, was it the best decision ever.

“A special tour”

We booked a one day tour in St. Emilion region and had wonderful experience. Up until the actual tour, Elodie kept in touch along the way, and even made reservations for us at a top restaurant in Bordeaux and offered to help with our visit to Bordeaux.

Laura was our tour guide and was so extremely knowledgeable and very sweet. She purchased the very famous French macarons while we were doing a tasting and surprised us with them after our delicious lunch.

If we had more time in Bordeaux we would have booked at least 1 other day in another region (Medoc as we love red wine).
